Amos 9:11-12
11 “In that day“I will restore David’s fallen shelter—I will repair its broken walls and restore its ruins—and will rebuild it as it used to be,12 so that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations that bear my name,[e]” declares the Lord, who will do these things.
In that day is our today.We all have situations we can look back that make us remember of past and good times. The enemy may have attacked or ravaged our lives or aspects of our lives.It may feel as if we are living in ruins;losses perhaps, damaged reputation,walking in shame or reproach.You best know what is a ruin in your life.
Edomites did so to the Children of Israel on so many occasions.Edom bordered Israel.In fact,Amos 1:1 shows us in part the ills committed by Edom.
“Edom pursued his brother with a sword and slaughtered the women of the land because of his anger and flaming fury”.
Are you able to identify an Edomite in your work place,family,business,relationships?Any facet of your life?
God has promised to restore and rebuild what Edom destroyed.He goes further to promise that we will repossess the remnant of Edom;those things and places including physical places that we lost to the enemy, perhaps even to generations of Edomites.
Be encouraged that God is a promise Keeper and honors His word.Our part is to believe what He says.
He will repair rebuild you and restore all to you.
